Rogers Cars Auction - My First Time Interstate Buy

G'day everyone! Just wanted to share my experience with Rogers Cars Auction based out of Brisbane. I've been eyeing off a dual-cab ute for ages, and after trawling through a fair few sites, I stumbled upon their inventory at rogerscars.com. They had a decent looking Ford Ranger, 2018 model, listed for around $35K AUD, which seemed like a pretty good price compared to what I'd seen at other dealerships here in regional NSW. I was a bit hesitant about buying sight-unseen, especially from another state, but the detailed multi-point inspection report they provided online was pretty thorough, and they had plenty of photos. I ended up winning the auction, and within an hour, I had a call from their Sales Agent. They walked me through the deposit process – I transferred 20% of the purchase price, which went directly towards the ute. Once that cleared, they organised a time for a third-party inspection that I arranged for peace of mind, which confirmed everything on their report. The agent was pretty responsive throughout, always getting back to my calls and emails quickly. The biggest hurdle was the interstate transport, but they helped me coordinate pick-up with a transport company. Took about a week to get it down to me, but it arrived in good nick, just as described. Still waiting on the rego transfer paperwork, but so far, so good. Keen to hear if anyone else has bought from them, especially from interstate!

Good onya, mate! Buying sight-unseen from Brisbane to VIC can be a bit nerve-wracking, but it sounds like Rogers Cars Auction came through for you. What kind of ute did you score?

Yeah, their sales agents are pretty decent. I picked up an older Ford Falcon sedan for about $18K from rogerscars.com last year and the agent walked me through the whole deposit and inspection process. No dramas whatsoever.

I'm always a bit skeptical about auction sites, but the multi-point inspection report from Rogers Cars Auction really does help. Did the ute match the report exactly when you saw it?

Interstate transport can add a fair bit to the price, but often still cheaper than buying locally, 'specially for something like a Toyota Hilux. What was the delivery timeframe like to Wagga?

I was looking at a Prado on rogerscars.com a while back, but got outbid. Good to hear the agent communication is solid, makes a big difference when dropping a deposit of 10-30% on a vehicle.

The 12-day return policy is a game-changer for auctions. I haven't had to use it, but it gives serious peace of mind, especially when you're buying a $30K+ dual-cab.

How was the roadworthy certificate (RWC) situation? Did Rogers Cars arrange it or did you have to sort that out yourself after it arrived in NSW?

I've heard good things about the hassle-free title transfer. Sounds like they really do guide you from bid to delivery, which is exactly what you want from an online auction.

Compared to other dealerships, the prices on Rogers Cars Auction seem pretty competitive. Always worth checking their inventory for a good repo deal, saves you a few grand sometimes.

I'm keen to get a boat for summer. Has anyone bought an RV or boat from Rogers Cars? Wondering if the inspection reports are as thorough for those as they are for cars.
